Justin Goldsberry is a charismatic and values-driven leader, a Renaissance Businessman who combines business with creativity, ingenuity, and innovation, while also serving as an advocate for education and social impact. He embarked on his first job at the age of 11 years old, working at a local convenience store & grill in a farm town in North Carolina. It was there that he learned the importance of resilience, humility, excellence, integrity, respect, fearlessness, empathy, and persistence.
With over two decades of experience serving and uplifting communities as an agent of change, these values have guided his career aspirations and have become the cornerstone of his leadership. His qualifications are built on his insatiable intellectual curiosity and practical real-world experiences. Throughout his career, he has served and/or led teams at Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies, in political campaigns, government, healthcare, real estate & housing, education, and entrepreneurship, and he has performed as a saxophonist at Carnegie Hall as well as a musical artist and vocalist at the legendary Apollo Theater. Justin has a keen ability and talent for combining traditional and innovative business methods and principles with seemingly unrelated concepts and theories in music, dance, culinary arts, farming, pop culture, car mechanics and automobiles, current events, humor, fashion, travel, politics and policy, technology, entertainment, and games to develop creative solutions and drive business or organizational growth. In his former role as the CEO; Director of Business Development and Partnerships, he successfully leveraged relationships with some of America’s most influential faith-based leaders, public figures, elected officials, CEOs, community leaders, and high-net-worth individuals to close over 100 event contracts.
Justin currently serves as Business Travel Ambassador & Influencer at SAP Concur, the Co-Chair of Teach For America’s The Collective New Jersey, a Business Mentor, and the Principal Consultant & Investor at Goldsberry Management Group, LLC. Additionally, he contributes to Ecosystem Partnerships, Marketing, and Constituency Research at IBM's Call For Code, Five Fifths Voter. Justin graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors from Morehouse College and holds educational credentials from Rutgers University, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and a certification in Fundraising from Temple University. He is a member of the China Institute, the Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society, and the Obama Foundation's MBK Leadership Network. Moreover, he proudly holds the status of alumnus and former contestant on Sony Pictures Entertainment's iconic television show "Wheel of Fortune."
Justin is a huge supporter and advocate for small businesses and enjoys serving as a pro bono Business Mentor for small business owners through the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL). Justin is committed to creating clear pathways to opportunity for all students and believes that our education system should be equipping our students with the business and entrepreneurial mindsets for career and business success. Prior to his former roles, Justin began his career in education as a teacher, where his passion for educational equity grew. Fueling his passion for educational equity and systems change in education, he has been both a Teach For America Corps Member, an Education Pioneers Fellow, and an Education Board Partner's Cohort Member.
